Abstract

The development of tourism has opened up many high-risk tourist spots on Lombok Island. Legal protection and the security and convenience of tourists visiting an area have a very large influence on the growth and development of tourism. Legal protection and security for tourists is very important, considering that many tourists experience theft, fraud and other criminal acts that harm tourists. For this reason, legal protection is needed for tourists so that the losses experienced are not always borne by tourists. the issue of legal protection for tourists has been regulated, both in Law No. 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism and in Law no. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The purpose of this study is to determine the legal protection of tourists according to Law Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism.
