Abstract

The important value of regional tourism in supporting the preservation of customs, culture, environmental sustainability indicates that there is a need for division of bureaucratic roles between related sectors in developing regional tourism. Presumably the area of the Old Banten Sultanate is one of the historical icons of Banten Province which is believed to be able to contribute significantly to regional income, therefore it requires innovation. The success of increasing competitiveness and quality of tourist attraction objects still depends on the seriousness of the local government and is supported by high public awareness of the importance of the presence of tourist objects around it. Related to this, to develop the tourism potential of the Old Banten Sultanate, the role of local governments, institutions, the private sector and the local community is also needed to be responsible for developing and managing tourism potential in Banten through the creative economy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with the consideration that this method presents directly the nature of the relationship between researchers and informants, so that it is expected to obtain a complete picture of the phenomenon to be studied, focusing on the description of bureaucratic synergy between government, creative economy actors, tourism actors, and community institutions in encouraging the acceleration of sustainable creative economic development for tourism in the Banten Lama sultanate area, Serang City.
