Customary rights are the authority that according to customary law belongs to certain customary law communities over certain territories that are the living environment of their citizens to benefit from natural resources, including land, within the territory, for their survival and life, arising from hereditary and uninterrupted outward and inner relationships between the customary law community and the territory concerned. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by factually outlining a phenomenon arising from social dynamics using a type of normative juridical approach. The main legal material comes from laws and regulations related to research. The results showed that Lebak Regency Regional Regulation No.32 of 2001 concerning Protection of the Customary Rights of the Baduy Community. However, the local regulation related to the Baduy community has only accommodated the problem of customary rights, not yet on other matters that are actually very crucial and need to be addressed immediately.
